Mason Job Description

About the Role

SMARTCO is seeking an experienced Mason to join our Construction & Engineering team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of hands-on experience in masonry, with expertise in building, repairing, and maintaining structures using bricks, stones, and concrete blocks. This role offers a competitive salary of 15-20 LPA and the opportunity to work on high-profile projects in the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Construct and repair walls, floors, partitions, and other structures using bricks, concrete blocks, stones, and other masonry materials.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements.
• Prepare surfaces for masonry work by cleaning, leveling, and applying bonding agents.
• Mix and apply mortar, grout, and other adhesives to bind materials together.
• Shape and trim materials using hand and power tools for precise fitting.
• Ensure structures are built to industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure project alignment.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and adhere to safety protocols.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Graduation/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Masonry, or a related field (preferred).
• 5-10 years of proven experience as a Mason in the construction industry.
• Proficient in using masonry tools, equipment, and materials.
• Strong knowledge of construction techniques, safety standards, and building codes.

Skills & Competencies

• Expertise in masonry techniques, including bricklaying, stonework, and concrete block installation.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Precision and attention to detail for high-quality craftsmanship.
• Physical stamina and ability to work in challenging environments.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Work Environment & Benefits

This is an on-site role based in Diriyah, Riyadh, with no remote work options. The position involves working outdoors in varying weather conditions and may require lifting heavy materials.
