Job Overview & Key Responsibilities

As a Master in our Maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning, safety, and longevity of various facilities and properties managed by our company. Your expertise will be crucial in upholding the highest standards of property maintenance and preventive maintenance protocols.

Core Duties and Daily Tasks

• Oversee and perform advanced technical maintenance and repairs on building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural components.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance schedule to minimize downtime and extend asset lifecycles.
• Lead a team of technicians, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and ensuring all maintenance work is completed efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
• Diagnose complex facility maintenance issues and determine the most effective and cost-efficient solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, work orders, equipment inventories, and supply levels using our computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Ensure strict compliance with all UAE health, safety, and environmental regulations, conducting regular site inspections and risk assessments.
• Manage inventory of maintenance tools, spare parts, and equipment, placing orders as necessary to ensure operational readiness.
• Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services, managing contracts and ensuring work meets agreed specifications.
• Respond promptly and effectively to emergency maintenance requests and breakdowns, providing out-of-hours support when required.
• Continuously identify opportunities for improving maintenance processes, reducing operational costs, and enhancing energy efficiency within the facility.

Candidate Requirements & Qualifications

To be successful in this Maintenance Master role, you must possess a blend of formal education, extensive practical experience, and strong leadership capabilities.

Essential Skills and Experience

• A minimum of 5-10 years of proven experience in a facility management or building maintenance role, preferably within the UAE or GCC region.
• A Graduation or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facility Management, or a directly related field.
• Expert-level knowledge of multiple maintenance disciplines, including electrical systems, air conditioning, plumbing, carpentry, and painting.
• Demonstrated experience in preventive and corrective maintenance planning and execution.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to train, motivate, and supervise a team of maintenance technicians.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Proficiency in using CMMS software, MS Office (especially Word and Excel), and other relevant technology for reporting and communication.
• In-depth knowledge of local health, safety, and environmental regulations pertaining to facility maintenance services.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with team members, management, and clients.
• Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labor, work at heights, and in confined spaces when necessary.

Preferred Attributes

• Additional certifications in facility management (e.g., CFM), HVAC, electrical work, or fire safety.
• Previous experience working for a facility management company in the UAE.
• Valid UAE driving license.
