Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Material Engineer with 5-10 years of experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in material evaluation, selection, and quality assurance to ensure operational efficiency and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough material evaluation and failure analysis.
• Select appropriate materials for pipelines, pressure vessels, and other critical equipment.
• Ensure compliance with international standards (e.g., ASTM, ASME, API).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for material specifications and procurement.
• Perform corrosion resistance testing and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Maintain documentation for material certifications and test reports.
• Provide technical support during inspections and audits.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in material testing techniques (e.g., tensile testing, hardness testing).
• Knowledge of metallurgy, polymers, ceramics, and composite materials.
• Familiarity with corrosion mechanisms and prevention methods.
• Experience with industry-standard software for material analysis.

Education & Experience

• Graduation/Diploma in Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5-10 years of hands-on experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical sector.
• Certifications in material science or related disciplines are a plus.

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
