Mechanic (Full Time)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanic to join our Maintenance Department in Muscat, Oman. This full-time position requires a candidate with 1-3 years of experience, an ITI certification, and a strong background in mechanical repairs and maintenance. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and servicing vehicles and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical issues in vehicles and equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify problems accurately.
• Replace or repair faulty parts and components as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of services, repairs, and parts used.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to improve efficiency and service quality.
• Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance work clearly.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Essential Skills:

• Proficiency in mechanical diagnostics and repairs.
• Strong understanding of automotive systems (engine, transmission, brakes, etc.).
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities.

Education & Experience:

• ITI certification in Mechanical or related field.
• 1-3 years of hands-on experience as a Mechanic.
• Experience in a retail or automotive service environment is a plus.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• This is an on-site position in Al Ghubrah, Muscat (no remote work).
• Ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
• Exposure to noise, fumes, and varying weather conditions in the workshop.
• Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
