Mechanical Engineer - Oil & Gas Industry

About the Role

G. Gheewala Human Resources Consultants is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our client's team in the Oil & Gas industry based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and maintaining mechanical systems and equipment used in oil and gas operations. This role requires a strong technical background, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems for oil and gas extraction, processing, and transportation.
• Conduct feasibility studies and technical evaluations of mechanical components.
• Perform stress analysis, thermal analysis, and fluid dynamics simulations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project compliance with industry standards.
• Inspect and troubleshoot mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, manuals, and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Assist in procurement and vendor management for mechanical components.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience: 3-5 years in mechanical engineering, preferably in the Oil & Gas sector.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.
• Knowledge of industry standards such as ASME, API, and ISO.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with pipeline design, pressure vessels, or rotating equipment.
• Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
• Certifications in mechanical engineering or related fields.
• Prior experience working in the Middle East or similar oil-rich regions.
