Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Foreman to join our construction team in the Oil & Gas industry in Muscat, Oman. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising mechanical maintenance and installation tasks, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and coordinating with engineering teams. This is a full-time position suitable for candidates with 0-1 year of experience and an ITI certification in mechanical trades.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team of mechanics and technicians in mechanical maintenance tasks.
• Ensure all mechanical installations and repairs comply with engineering specifications and safety regulations.
• Coordinate with project managers and engineers to plan and execute mechanical work.
• Inspect equipment and machinery for defects, troubleshooting issues as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used and labor hours.
• Train and mentor junior mechanics to improve team efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to workplace safety protocols and industry best practices.
• Assist in procurement of mechanical parts and tools as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Essential Skills:

• Proven experience in mechanical maintenance within the Oil & Gas or Construction sectors.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Problem-solving abilities in high-pressure environments.

Educational Requirements:

• ITI certification in Mechanical Trades or equivalent.
• Additional certifications in safety or mechanical engineering are a plus.

Preferred Experience

• 0-1 year of experience as a Mechanical Foreman or similar role.
• Familiarity with Oil & Gas industry standards (API, ASME, ANSI).
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Previous work in Oman or GCC countries is advantageous.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This role requires working in an industrial setting with exposure to heavy machinery, noise, and varying weather conditions. The candidate must be physically fit to perform tasks such as lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
