Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi, UAE, within the Nuclear Energy/Power Generation sector. This full-time role is ideal for professionals with 5-10 years of hands-on experience in mechanical supervision, ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical systems in a high-stakes environment.
Key Responsibilities
The Mechanical Supervisor will play a critical role in overseeing mechanical operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and leading a team of skilled technicians. Key duties include:
- Supervising and coordinating mechanical maintenance, repairs, and installations in the nuclear power plant.
- Ensuring all mechanical systems comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Leading and mentoring a team of mechanical technicians and engineers.
- Conducting regular inspections to identify and resolve mechanical issues proactively.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize mechanical performance and efficiency.
- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and safety checks.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs.
- Troubleshooting complex mechanical problems and recommending cost-effective solutions.
Required Qualifications & Skills
To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following:
Education & Certification
- Graduation/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Certifications in supervision or nuclear plant operations are highly desirable.
Experience
- 5-10 years of experience in mechanical supervision, preferably within the power generation or nuclear energy sector.
- Proven track record of managing mechanical teams in high-risk environments.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, HVAC, piping, and rotating equipment.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and regulatory compliance in the nuclear sector.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in using maintenance management software.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
