Mechanical Technician – Exchanger

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician – Exchanger to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is critical in maintaining and repairing heat exchangers and other mechanical systems in the Oil & Gas industry. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience, a diploma or graduation in Mechanical Engineering, and hands-on expertise in exchanger maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair heat exchangers, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and perform troubleshooting on exchanger systems.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new exchanger equipment.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance (PM) to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
• Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to resolve complex mechanical problems.
• Follow detailed technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints for repairs and installations.
• Ensure adherence to industry safety regulations and company policies.
• Document maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and replacements.
• Operate hand and power tools, as well as specialized equipment for exchanger maintenance.
• Participate in emergency repair tasks as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education & Certifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Certifications in Mechanical Maintenance or Heat Exchanger Systems (preferred).

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in maintaining and repairing heat exchangers, pumps, and valves.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and fluid dynamics.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Familiarity with welding, fabrication, and pipefitting (a plus).
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance techniques.

Soft Skills

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, on-site role in the Oil & Gas sector based in Al Malaz, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The position may require:

• Working in industrial settings, including exposure to high temperatures and loud noises.
• Occasional overtime or shift work to meet project deadlines.
• Adherence to strict safety regulations, including PPE requirements.
