Mechanical Technician Job Description

About the Role

HR GLOBAL REACH is seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our Maintenance Department in Kuwait. This full-time position is ideal for candidates with 3-5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry. The role involves ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on mechanical systems, including pumps, compressors, valves, and pipelines.
• Conduct inspections and diagnostics to identify mechanical issues and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
• Assist in the installation, calibration, and testing of new mechanical equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
• Follow company protocols and industry best practices to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Participate in emergency repairs and preventive maintenance programs.
• Provide technical support and training to junior staff as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience

• Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a Mechanical Technician, preferably in the Oil & Gas sector.
• Proficiency in reading technical diagrams and schematics.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and mechanical equipment.

Work Conditions

• Job Type: Full-Time
• Remote Work: No (On-site presence required)
• Location: Kaifan, Kuwait City, Kuwait
• Salary Range: 5-8 LPA (based on experience and qualifications)
• Shift: Rotational shifts may apply (including nights and weekends as needed).
• Must comply with company safety policies and industry regulations.
