Mechanical Technician Job Opportunity

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician with 3-5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas or Engineering & Construction industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical equipment and systems at our facility in Riyadh.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical systems including pumps, compressors, valves, and pipelines
• Install, assemble, and test mechanical components according to engineering specifications
• Conduct diagnostic tests to identify mechanical failures and implement effective solutions
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve system performance and efficiency
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment condition
• Operate specialized tools and equipment for mechanical repairs and installations
• Participate in emergency response activities as needed
• Provide technical guidance to junior technicians when required

Required Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a Mechanical Technician in Oil & Gas or related industry
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics
• Proficiency in using mechanical tools, instruments, and diagnostic equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Physical stamina to work in challenging environments and lift heavy equipment
• Knowledge of safety standards and regulations in mechanical operations
• Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting

Preferred Skills:

• Certification in mechanical maintenance or related field
• Experience with rotating equipment maintenance
• Familiarity with SAP or other maintenance management systems
• Knowledge of predictive maintenance techniques
• Experience working in Middle East/GCC countries

Working Conditions

This is a full-time position based in our Al Malaz, Riyadh facility. The role requires:

• Work in rotating shifts including nights and weekends when needed
• Ability to work in outdoor environments with exposure to varying weather conditions
• Potential for overtime work during peak operational periods
• Adherence to strict safety protocols at all times
