Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Technician to join our Operations team. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of hands-on experience in mechanical systems within the construction industry. This role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance on-site.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical systems, including HVAC, pumps, valves, and compressors.
• Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment to minimize downtime.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical failures and provide timely solutions.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics.
• Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to ensure project deadlines are met.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in mechanical system diagnostics and repair.
• Strong knowledge of construction industry mechanical standards.
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
• Familiarity with welding, fabrication, and machining is a plus.

Soft Skills

• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Team player with effective communication skills.

Education & Experience

• Graduation or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5-10 years of hands-on experience as a Mechanical Technician in the construction industry.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

This role requires working on-site in various construction environments. Candidates should be prepared for the following:

• Standing or walking for extended periods.
• Lifting heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs).
• Exposure to loud noises, dust, and varying weather conditions.
• Wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
