Key Responsibilities
As a Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of mechanical systems and equipment. Your duties will include:
- Performing routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on mechanical machinery.
- Troubleshooting mechanical failures and implementing corrective actions.
- Ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards (OSHA, ISO, etc.).
- Collaborating with engineers and other technicians to optimize system performance.
- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment conditions.
- Operating diagnostic tools and software to identify mechanical issues.
- Assisting in the installation and commissioning of new mechanical systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Education: ITI certification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in the electronics industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in mechanical assembly, welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, and machine tool operation.
- Safety Awareness: Knowledge of workplace safety protocols and hazard prevention.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues efficiently.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for team collaboration.
Preferred Skills
While not mandatory, the following skills will be an advantage:
- Experience with CNC machines or automated systems.
- Familiarity with CAD software for mechanical design review.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
- Experience in preventive and predictive maintenance techniques.
