Job Overview

H.R. International is seeking a skilled Medical Gas Technician to join our Service and Maintenance team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in medical gas pipeline maintenance within the Oil & Gas or Engineering & Construction industry. This role involves ensuring the safe and efficient operation of medical gas systems in healthcare facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, inspect, test, and maintain medical gas pipeline systems in compliance with industry standards.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in medical gas delivery systems, including oxygen, nitrogen, and vacuum systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on medical gas equipment and infrastructure.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and hospital accreditation standards (e.g., Joint Commission, NFPA).
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints related to medical gas systems.
  • Collaborate with engineers, facility managers, and healthcare staff to ensure seamless operation.
  • Document maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs in detailed reports.
  • Operate specialized tools and equipment for pipeline testing and maintenance.
  • Assist in system upgrades, modifications, or expansions as needed.
  • Train hospital staff on basic medical gas system safety protocols.

Requirements

Education & Certifications

  • Diploma or Graduation in Mechanical Engineering, Pipeline Technology, or a related field.
  • Certification in Medical Gas Pipeline Systems (e.g., ASSE 6010, 6020) is a plus.

Experience

  • 1-3 years of hands-on experience in medical gas pipeline maintenance.
  • Familiarity with Oil & Gas or Engineering & Construction environments.
  • Prior work in hospital or healthcare settings is preferred.

Skills

  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing medical gas systems.
  • Strong understanding of pressure testing, leak detection, and pipeline integrity.
  • Ability to use specialized tools (e.g., pressure gauges, flow meters).
  • Knowledge of safety protocols for handling medical gases.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication skills for team collaboration.

Work Environment

This is an on-site role based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The technician will work in hospitals, clinics, and construction sites, requiring adherence to strict safety and hygiene standards. The job may involve occasional overtime or emergency call-outs.
