Medium Voltage Technician (Full-Time)

Job Overview

H.R. International is seeking a highly skilled Medium Voltage Technician to join our Service and Maintenance team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position in the Oil & Gas and Engineering & Construction industry, offering a competitive salary range of 5-8 LPA. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in handling medium voltage switchgear and related equipment.

Key Responsibilities

As a Medium Voltage Technician, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Install, maintain, and repair medium voltage electrical systems and equipment.
• Inspect and troubleshoot medium voltage switchgear, transformers, and circuit breakers.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Coordinate with engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
• Diagnose electrical faults using testing equipment and recommend corrective actions.
• Document maintenance activities and generate detailed service reports.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Diploma or Graduation in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience: 1-3 years of hands-on experience in medium voltage systems.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in handling and maintaining medium voltage switchgear.
• Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with OSHA or equivalent safety standards.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve electrical issues.
• Communication: Ability to work in a team and report technical findings clearly.

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following qualifications will be an advantage:

• Certification in medium voltage systems or electrical safety.
• Prior experience in the Oil & Gas or Engineering & Construction sector.
• Knowledge of PLCs and control systems.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools like multimeters, insulation testers, etc.

Work Environment

The Medium Voltage Technician will work in a dynamic environment that includes:

• On-site maintenance at industrial facilities.
• Exposure to high-voltage electrical systems requiring strict adherence to safety protocols.
• Occasional overtime or emergency call-outs for urgent repairs.
