Key Responsibilities
The MEP BIM Engineer will play a critical role in managing Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes for MEP systems, ensuring seamless coordination and execution. Responsibilities include:
- Develop and manage BIM models for MEP systems (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing).
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and contractors to resolve design conflicts.
- Ensure compliance with project standards, specifications, and BIM protocols.
- Generate detailed shop drawings, 3D models, and construction documentation.
- Perform clash detection using Navisworks or similar software and provide solutions.
- Support project teams in BIM implementation and troubleshooting.
- Conduct quality checks on BIM deliverables to ensure accuracy.
- Train and mentor junior BIM team members.
- Stay updated with the latest BIM and MEP industry trends.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Navisworks, and BIM 360.
- Strong understanding of MEP systems and construction workflows.
- Experience in clash detection and resolution.
- Knowledge of industry standards such as ISO 19650 and COBie.
- Ability to create and manage BIM execution plans.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Attention to detail and high organizational skills.
Education & Experience:
- Graduation/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
- 5-10 years of hands-on experience in MEP BIM coordination.
- Experience working in large-scale construction projects is a plus.
