Key Responsibilities & Duties

As an MEP Project Engineer at JobsGlobal, you will be at the heart of our engineering operations. Your primary focus will be on the seamless integration and management of mechanical, electrical, and public health systems within our large-scale construction projects.

• Develop, manage, and maintain detailed project schedules using advanced software, ensuring all MEP milestones are met and resources are allocated efficiently.
• Oversee the entire MEP project lifecycle, from initial design and technical specifications to installation, commissioning, and handover.
• Coordinate and liaise with clients, architects, structural engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project alignment and resolve any technical MEP issues that arise.
• Prepare and review MEP drawings, schematics, and BOQs (Bills of Quantities) to ensure compliance with local UAE regulations and international standards.
• Manage project budgets, track costs, and provide regular financial reporting to senior management, ensuring the project remains within the allocated financial framework.
• Lead and mentor a team of junior engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring high performance and safety standards on site.
• Conduct rigorous quality control inspections of all MEP installations, ensuring workmanship and materials meet the project's stringent quality requirements.
• Identify potential risks in the MEP project plan and implement effective mitigation strategies to minimize impact on timeline and budget.

Requirements & Qualifications

To be successful in this MEP Project Engineer role, the candidate must possess a blend of technical expertise, management skills, and practical site experience.

Education & Certification

• A Graduation/Diploma degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
• Professional engineering certification or membership with a recognized international body (e.g., CEng, PE) is a significant advantage.
• Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is highly desirable.

Experience & Skills

• A minimum of 5-10 Years of progressive experience working as an MEP Project Engineer or a similar role within the construction industry.
• Demonstrable expertise in project scheduling tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent software.
• In-depth knowledge of MEP systems design, HVAC, electrical distribution, fire protection, and plumbing codes, particularly those enforced in the UAE.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and other engineering design software for reviewing and interpreting technical drawings.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost estimation, and value engineering for MEP packages.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders and lead a multidisciplinary team.
