Microbiologist – Full-Time Role in Food & Beverage Quality Control

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Microbiologist to join our Quality Control team in the Food & Beverage industry. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in QA/QC standards and a strong background in microbiology to ensure product safety and compliance with industry regulations in our Kuwait-based facility.

Job Responsibilities

As a Microbiologist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest quality standards for our food and beverage products. Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting microbiological testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
• Ensuring compliance with QA/QC standards, food safety regulations (HACCP, ISO, GMP).
• Performing environmental monitoring of production facilities to detect microbial contamination.
• Analyzing test results, documenting findings, and reporting deviations.
• Collaborating with the production and R&D teams to improve product quality.
• Maintaining laboratory equipment and ensuring calibration.
• Participating in internal and external audits for quality assurance.
• Investigating and troubleshooting microbial contamination issues.
• Training staff on hygiene and sanitation best practices.

Required Qualifications & Skills

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Graduation or Diploma in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Food Science, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in a microbiology or QA/QC role within the Food & Beverage industry.
• Strong knowledge of microbial testing techniques (e.g., plate counting, PCR, ELISA).
• Familiarity with food safety standards (HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP).
• Proficiency in laboratory documentation and data analysis.
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

Job Location & Work Environment

This is an on-site role based in Jibla, Kuwait City, under the Al Asimah (Capital Governorate). The position requires working in a laboratory and production facility setting with standard safety protocols in place.
