Multi Welder (SMAW/GTAW/FCAW) Job in Doha, Qatar

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Multi Welder (SMAW/GTAW/FCAW) to join our dynamic team in Doha, Qatar. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of hands-on experience in welding and fabrication, particularly in the Oil & Gas and Construction industries. This role requires expertise in multiple welding techniques, including Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), and Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW).

Key Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality welding using SMAW, GTAW, and FCAW techniques on various metals and alloys.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding diagrams to ensure precise fabrication.
• Inspect and test welded surfaces and structures to ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Operate and maintain welding equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
• Collaborate with engineers and fabricators to troubleshoot welding challenges and improve processes.
• Adhere to workplace safety protocols and PPE requirements at all times.
• Assist in material preparation, including cutting, grinding, and fitting.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including material usage and project progress.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Education:

• ITI Certification in Welding or a related field.

Experience:

• 3-5 years of professional welding experience, preferably in the Oil & Gas, Engineering, or Construction sectors.
• Proven expertise in SMAW, GTAW, and FCAW welding techniques.
• Familiarity with international welding standards (e.g., AWS, ASME).

Technical Skills:

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Knowledge of metallurgy and material properties.
• Proficiency in operating welding machines and hand tools.
• Strong attention to detail and precision.

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and teamwork.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, on-site role in Old Airport, Doha, Qatar. The position involves working in industrial environments, including fabrication workshops, construction sites, and Oil & Gas facilities. Candidates must be prepared for:

• Exposure to high temperatures, loud noises, and hazardous materials.
• Wearing protective gear, including helmets, gloves, and safety goggles.
• Occasional overtime or weekend shifts to meet project deadlines.
