Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled N2 Pump Operator to join our Operations Department in Muscat, Oman. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of hands-on experience operating nitrogen pumping units in the Oil & Gas industry. This role requires technical expertise, attention to safety protocols, and the ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain nitrogen pumping units in compliance with safety and operational guidelines.
- Monitor equipment performance, pressure levels, and fluid flow to ensure efficient operations.
- Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on pumping equipment.
- Coordinate with field engineers and other operators to execute pumping operations as per project requirements.
- Document operational data, including pressure readings, temperature, and equipment status.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, industry regulations, and environmental standards.
- Assist in rig-up and rig-down procedures for pumping units.
- Report any malfunctions, hazards, or deviations from standard procedures to supervisors.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in operating nitrogen pumping units and related equipment.
- Knowledge of Oil & Gas well servicing and completion processes.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and operational logs.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and minor repairs.
- Understanding of pressure control systems and fluid dynamics.
Education & Certifications:
- ITI certification or equivalent in a relevant technical field.
- Certification in Nitrogen Pumping Operations or related training is a plus.
- Valid safety training certifications (e.g., HSE, OSHA, or equivalent).
Soft Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented and high-pressure environment.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
- Physical stamina to work long shifts in outdoor conditions.
Work Environment
This is a full-time, on-site position in Wadi Kabir, Muscat, Oman. The role involves working in outdoor or industrial settings, often under demanding weather conditions. Candidates must be prepared for shift work, including nights and weekends, as required by operational needs.
Safety is a top priority, and all personnel must comply with PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) requirements and company safety protocols.
