Location: Al Sadd, Doha, Qatar | Salary: 10-15 LPA | Experience: 10+ Years

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and certified NDT Technician with over 10 years of experience in the Oil & Gas and Engineering & Construction industries. The ideal candidate will specialize in Radiographic Testing (RT) Interpretation and will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with quality control standards and safety regulations.

As an NDT Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting materials, weldments, and structural components using advanced non-destructive testing techniques. This position demands precision, technical expertise, and adherence to industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform Radiographic Testing (RT) inspections on pipelines, pressure vessels, and structural components.
  • Interpret RT films and digital images to identify defects such as cracks, porosity, and inclusions.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (ASME, API, ISO, ASTM) and client-specific requirements.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Collaborate with engineers, welders, and project managers to resolve quality issues.
  • Operate and calibrate NDT equipment such as X-ray machines, gamma-ray sources, and digital imaging systems.
  • Conduct safety assessments and adhere to radiation protection protocols.
  • Mentor junior technicians and assist in training programs.
  • Travel to project sites as needed for on-site inspections.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Technical Skills

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in NDT, specifically in RT Interpretation.
  • Certification in RT Level II or III (ASNT, PCN, or equivalent).
  • Proficiency in film and digital radiography techniques.
  • Familiarity with other NDT methods (UT, MT, PT, VT) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of welding processes, metallurgy, and defect identification.

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in high-pressure environments and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance.

Education

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related field.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Al Sadd, Doha, Qatar. The position may require occasional travel to remote project sites within the region. Safety is paramount, and all personnel must adhere to strict PPE and radiation safety protocols.
