Job Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess vision, eye health, and detect abnormalities.
• Diagnose and manage ocular diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration.
• Prescribe corrective lenses, contact lenses, or vision therapy based on patient needs.
• Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries.
• Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals for specialized treatments.
• Educate patients on proper eye care practices and preventive measures.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health systems.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in optometry and vision care technologies.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and ethical standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Graduation/Diploma in Optometry from an accredited institution.
• 1-3 years of hands-on experience in eye examination & diagnosis.
• Strong knowledge of ocular anatomy, diseases, and treatment protocols.
• Proficiency in using optometric equipment such as autorefractors, tonometers, and slit lamps.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for patient interactions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Valid optometry license (UAE license preferred).
