Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties

As a Painter with TeamPro, you will be an integral part of our construction and maintenance projects. Your primary focus will be on delivering high-quality finishing work that meets our stringent standards and satisfies our clients. Your daily tasks will encompass a wide range of painting and preparatory activities.

Surface Preparation & Application

• Prepare various surfaces including drywall, wood, concrete, and metal for painting by washing, scraping, sanding, and filling cracks and holes.
• Expertly apply primers, sealers, and multiple coats of paint (water-based and oil-based) using brushes, rollers, and spray guns to ensure a smooth, durable, and even finish.
• Mix and match paints and stains to achieve desired color and consistency, following client specifications or brand requirements.

Finishing & Detailing

• Execute detailed work such as varnishing, glazing, and other specialty finishes to enhance the aesthetic appeal of interiors and exteriors.
• Apply wallpaper, fabrics, and other decorative coverings as required by the project scope.
• Perform touch-ups and repairs on existing painted surfaces to maintain property appearances.

Project Execution & Safety

• Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and specifications to determine the materials and tools required for each job.
• Efficiently calculate the quantity of materials needed and ensure minimal waste.
• Install window glass and putty glazing as part of comprehensive maintenance services.
• Maintain a clean and organized worksite, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly cleaned and stored after use.
• Strictly adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and the safe handling of materials.

Candidate Requirements & Qualifications

To be successful in this painter role, the ideal candidate will possess a combination of formal training, proven experience, and a strong work ethic. We are looking for a reliable professional who takes pride in their work.

Education & Certification

• A valid ITI (Industrial Training Institute) certificate in Painting or a closely related trade is mandatory.
• Additional certifications in safety (e.g., OSHA) or specific painting techniques are a significant advantage.

Experience & Skills

• A minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience as a Painter within the construction or maintenance industry.
• Demonstrable expertise in all aspects of painting, including surface prep, application techniques, color mixing, and finishing.
• Proficiency with all standard painting tools and equipment, including airless sprayers.
• Strong knowledge of different paint types, their properties, and their appropriate applications.
• Physical stamina and strength to stand, climb, bend, and lift heavy materials (up to 25 kg) throughout the workday.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Good time management skills to complete tasks within designated timelines.
