Job Responsibilities
The Painter will be responsible for performing high-quality painting tasks for residential and commercial properties. Key duties include:
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and repairing imperfections.
- Apply primers, paints, varnishes, and sealants using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Mix and match paint colors to achieve desired finishes.
- Protect surrounding areas from paint splatter using drop cloths, tape, and other materials.
- Perform touch-ups and corrections as needed to ensure flawless results.
- Maintain painting tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Follow safety protocols and industry standards to ensure a hazard-free work environment.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and team members to meet project deadlines.
- Keep track of paint inventory and request supplies when necessary.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:
- 3-5 years of professional painting experience, preferably in facility management or construction.
- Proficiency in surface preparation (sanding, scraping, patching).
- Expertise in spray painting, brushwork, and roller techniques.
- Knowledge of different paint types (oil-based, latex, epoxy) and their applications.
- Ability to read and interpret project specifications and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, and lift heavy materials for extended periods.
- Diploma or Graduation in a relevant field (e.g., Painting, Construction, Fine Arts) is preferred.
