Painter Responsibilities and Duties
Our painting professionals perform a diverse range of tasks to ensure exceptional finish quality on all construction projects. Key responsibilities include:
- Prepare surfaces for painting by washing, scraping, sanding, patching, and filling holes and cracks
- Apply primers, sealers, and undercoats to create optimal painting surfaces
- Execute precise painting applications using brushes, rollers, and spray guns
- Mix and match paints to required colors and consistencies according to specifications
- Apply various finishes including water-based paints, oil-based paints, varnishes, stains, and special coatings
- Protect surrounding areas from paint splatter using drop cloths, masking tape, and other protective materials
- Perform wallpaper installation and removal as required by project specifications
- Maintain equipment including brushes, rollers, spray guns, and other painting tools
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while working at heights or in confined spaces
- Clean up work areas after completing painting projects and properly dispose of materials
- Collaborate with other construction team members to ensure project timelines are met
- Inspect finished surfaces to ensure quality standards and client expectations are met

Painter Job Requirements and Qualifications
Education and Certification
