We are seeking an experienced Painting Foreman to lead and supervise painting operations for an onshore oil & gas project in Doha, Qatar. This full-time position requires hands-on expertise in industrial painting, coatings application, and team management within the maintenance department.

Key Responsibilities
The Painting Foreman will oversee all painting activities for our onshore oil & gas facility, ensuring high-quality surface preparation and coating application. Key duties include:
Project Supervision
- Plan and execute daily painting operations according to project specifications
- Supervise a team of painters and coating applicators
- Ensure compliance with safety standards (OSHA, NACE, or SSPC)
- Monitor surface preparation (blasting, cleaning) and coating application
Quality Control
- Conduct dry film thickness (DFT) tests and adhesion tests
- Inspect completed work for defects and ensure proper curing
- Maintain accurate records of materials used and work progress
Team Management
- Train junior painters in proper techniques and safety procedures
- Schedule shifts and assign tasks to meet project deadlines
- Coordinate with other departments (maintenance, operations)
Required Qualifications
Education
- Diploma or Graduation in Painting Technology, Industrial Coatings, or related field
- Certification in NACE, SSPC, or equivalent is preferred
Experience
- 1-3 years experience as a Painting Foreman in oil & gas or heavy industry
- Proven experience with industrial coating systems (epoxy, polyurethane, zinc-rich)
- Familiarity with surface preparation methods (sandblasting, power tools)
Technical Skills
- Expertise in paint mixing, application techniques (spray, brush, roller)
- Ability to read technical drawings and coating specifications
- Knowledge of paint defect prevention and troubleshooting
Soft Skills
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to work under pressure in harsh environments
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This position requires:
- Working outdoors in Qatar's climate (extreme heat possible)
- Standing for long periods and working at heights (scaffolding, ladders)
- Wearing PPE (respirators, coveralls, safety harnesses)
- Lifting materials up to 25kg occasionally
