Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permit Coordinator to join our dynamic team in the Oil & Gas industry in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and administering permits, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and facilitating smooth operations within the Service and Maintenance department.
With 5-10 years of experience, you will play a critical role in maintaining operational efficiency while prioritizing safety awareness at all times. This is an on-site role based in Abu Dhabi City.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage the issuance, renewal, and tracking of permits required for Oil & Gas operations.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities to ensure all permits comply with local, national, and industry standards.
- Monitor and enforce safety compliance across all permit-related activities.
- Maintain accurate records of permits, approvals, and renewals in a centralized database.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including maintenance, engineering, and safety departments, to streamline permit processes.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure permits align with safety protocols.
- Provide timely updates and reports on permit statuses to management and stakeholders.
- Assist in audits and inspections related to permit compliance.
- Train and guide junior staff on permit management best practices.
Qualifications & Skills
Education & Experience:
- Graduation or Diploma in Engineering, Safety Management, or a related field.
- 5-10 years of hands-on experience in permit coordination within the Oil & Gas sector.
- Proven track record of managing permits for large-scale industrial projects.
Required Skills:
- Strong safety awareness and familiarity with HSE regulations.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in permit management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to interpret technical and regulatory documentation.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
