Key Responsibilities
The Pipeline, Welding, and Piping Supervisors will be responsible for overseeing operational processes to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance. Key duties include:
- Supervising pipeline installation, welding, and piping activities in accordance with industry standards.
- Ensuring compliance with QA/QC protocols and safety regulations.
- Coordinating with engineers, contractors, and team members to execute projects seamlessly.
- Monitoring work progress and providing technical guidance to resolve on-site challenges.
- Conducting inspections and tests to verify structural integrity and material quality.
- Preparing and reviewing technical reports, logs, and documentation.
- Training and mentoring junior staff to enhance team performance.
- Implementing corrective actions for non-compliance issues.
- Maintaining accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Essential Skills:
- Proven experience in supervision of pipeline, welding, or piping projects in the Oil & Gas sector.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards (ASME, API, ASTM, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
- Proficiency in quality control and assurance protocols (QA/QC).
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
Education & Certifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Welding Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CSWIP, AWS, NACE) are highly desirable.
- Additional safety certifications (OSHA, NEBOSH) are a plus.
Work Environment
This role is based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, and requires on-site presence at project locations. Candidates must be prepared to work in demanding environments, including outdoor sites and industrial facilities. The position may involve occasional extended hours to meet project deadlines.
