About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to join our dynamic Project Management team in Al ‘Amarat, Muscat, Oman. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of hands-on experience in project planning within the construction industry. This role demands exceptional analytical skills, proficiency in scheduling tools, and the ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using industry-standard tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure alignment on project timelines.
• Prepare and present project planning reports to senior management and stakeholders.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to avoid schedule disruptions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and contractual obligations.
• Support cost estimation and resource allocation to optimize project efficiency.
• Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure adherence to project milestones.

Qualifications & Skills

Education & Experience

• Graduation/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 5-10 years of experience in project planning within the construction sector.
• Proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent tools.
• Prior experience working on large-scale construction projects in Oman or the Middle East is preferred.

Required Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• In-depth knowledge of construction project management methodologies.
• Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) is a plus.
