Key Responsibilities
As a Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon, you will perform a wide range of surgical procedures to restore function and improve aesthetics. Your responsibilities include:
- Perform complex reconstructive surgeries, including trauma repair, burn reconstruction, and congenital defect corrections.
- Conduct cosmetic procedures such as facelifts, rhinoplasty, breast augmentation, and liposuction.
- Utilize advanced microsurgery techniques for tissue transplantation and nerve repair.
- Diagnose and develop personalized treatment plans for patients.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain detailed medical records and adhere to hospital protocols.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in plastic and reconstructive surgery.
- Educate patients on postoperative care and realistic outcome expectations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Board certification or equivalent in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery.
- Proven expertise in microsurgery and cosmetic surgery.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and precision in surgical techniques.
- Excellent diagnostic and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to manage high-pressure situations in the operating room.
Education & Experience
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with specialization in Plastic Surgery.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in reconstructive and cosmetic procedures.
- Valid medical license to practice in Saudi Arabia (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in academic medicine or teaching.
- Published research in plastic surgery journals.
- Membership in recognized surgical associations (e.g., ISAPS, ASPS).
