Job Overview

The Procurement Engineer II – Mechanical will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring mechanical equipment and materials essential for Oil & Gas projects. This role requires strong technical knowledge in mechanical systems, supplier management, and cost-effective procurement strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate suppliers for mechanical equipment, valves, piping, and related materials.
• Prepare and review technical specifications, RFQs (Request for Quotations), and purchase orders.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and contracts with vendors to ensure cost-effective procurement.
• Collaborate with engineering and project teams to align procurement with project requirements.
• Conduct supplier audits and performance evaluations to ensure quality and compliance.
• Monitor market trends and pricing in the Oil & Gas procurement sector.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials while adhering to budgetary constraints.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
• Resolve supplier-related issues, including delays or non-conformance.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience

• Education: Graduation/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience: 1-3 years of experience in procurement or mechanical engineering within the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of mechanical components used in Oil & Gas projects (e.g., valves, pumps, compressors).
• Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with international procurement standards and regulations.
