Production Supervisor – Section Mill

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor – Section Mill to oversee and optimize production operations in our manufacturing facility located in Ghantoot, Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of management experience in the manufacturing sector, with a strong focus on efficiency, safety, and quality control.

As a key leader in the Production Department, you will ensure that production targets are met while maintaining compliance with industry standards. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and a hands-on approach to managing a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations in the Section Mill, ensuring production schedules are met efficiently.
• Supervise, train, and mentor production staff to maintain high productivity and safety standards.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with workplace safety regulations, including OSHA standards.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure minimal downtime and optimal equipment functionality.
• Analyze production data to identify inefficiencies and implement continuous improvement strategies.
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to uphold product standards and reduce defects.
• Prepare and present production reports to senior management, highlighting key performance metrics.
• Ensure inventory levels are maintained and raw material supplies are managed effectively.
• Address production-related issues promptly and implement corrective actions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Education:

• Graduation or Diploma in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.

Experience:

• 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Proven track record of managing teams and improving operational efficiency.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Section Mill operations and machinery.
• Proficiency in production planning and workflow optimization.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles (preferred).

Soft Skills:

• Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in the UAE manufacturing industry.
• Knowledge of automation and Industry 4.0 practices.
• Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or equivalent.

Work Environment

The role is based in an industrial manufacturing facility in Ghantoot, Abu Dhabi. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures. Safety gear and protocols are strictly enforced.
