Key Responsibilities & Duties

As a Project Manager within our Project Management department, you will be entrusted with end-to-end ownership of major Oil & Gas initiatives. Your primary focus will be on driving project success through meticulous planning, execution, and delivery.

Project Planning & Execution

• Develop comprehensive project plans, defining scope, goals, deliverables, and required resources.
• Create and maintain detailed project scheduling using advanced tools like Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project, ensuring all milestones are clearly defined and tracked.
• Manage the entire project lifecycle from initiation through planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure.
• Allocate resources efficiently and manage project budgets, ensuring financial objectives are met.

Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Lead, coach, and motivate multidisciplinary project teams, including engineers, contractors, and technical staff.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all project communications, providing regular updates to senior management, clients, and other key stakeholders.
• Foster strong relationships with clients, vendors, and partners to ensure alignment and project success.
• Conduct regular project meetings, prepare status reports, and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

Risk Management & Quality Assurance

• Identify potential project risks and develop effective mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and budgets.
• Implement rigorous quality control processes to ensure all project deliverables meet industry standards and client specifications.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor project performance using appropriate tools and techniques, implementing corrective actions as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

To excel in this Project Manager role within the demanding Oil & Gas sector, candidates must possess a combination of formal education, specific industry experience, and technical competencies.

Education & Certification

• Graduation/Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, or related field) is mandatory.
• Advanced certification in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) is highly preferred.
• Additional certifications in HSE or specific Oil & Gas standards are advantageous.

Experience & Technical Skills

• 5-10 Years of progressive experience in project management, specifically within the Oil & Gas industry or related heavy industries.
• Demonstrated expertise in project scheduling with proficiency in industry-standard software (Primavera P6, MS Project).
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects from conception to completion.
• Strong understanding of Oil & Gas project methodologies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience working in the UAE or Middle East region is highly desirable.
