Job Opening: Project Plant (PMV) Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Plant (PMV) Engineer to join our dynamic Operations team in Doha, Qatar. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of hands-on experience in heavy equipment management within the Oil & Gas Construction sector. This role involves overseeing plant machinery, vehicles, and related project coordination to ensure operational efficiency and safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage plant machinery and vehicles (PMV) on-site to ensure optimal performance.
• Monitor equipment maintenance, repairs, and inspections to minimize downtime and ensure safety compliance.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely deployment of machinery as per project requirements.
• Ensure compliance with industry safety standards and environmental regulations.
• Prepare and maintain detailed reports on equipment usage, breakdowns, and maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with procurement teams for spare parts and equipment sourcing.
• Train and mentor junior staff on equipment handling and safety protocols.
• Assist in the preparation of project budgets for plant and machinery operations.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for equipment-related hazards.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education

• Graduation/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in heavy equipment management, preferably in the Oil & Gas Construction industry.
• Proven track record of managing plant machinery and vehicles (PMV) in large-scale projects.
• Familiarity with industry-standard maintenance and safety protocols.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of heavy machinery operations (excavators, cranes, loaders, etc.).
• Proficiency in equipment diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
