Job Opportunity: PTW – Electrical (Oil & Gas Construction)

About the Position

Sinclus Marketing Services Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced PTW – Electrical professional for a full-time position in Abu Dhabi's thriving Oil & Gas Construction industry. This critical role requires 5-10 years of experience in electrical permit-to-work systems within hazardous industrial environments.

Job Responsibilities

The PTW – Electrical specialist will be responsible for ensuring safe electrical work practices across all oil and gas construction operations. Key duties include:

• Implement and manage the Permit to Work (PTW) system for all electrical operations
• Conduct risk assessments for electrical work in hazardous areas
• Coordinate with site supervisors to ensure compliance with electrical safety protocols
• Review electrical isolation procedures and method statements
• Monitor electrical work activities to ensure adherence to PTW conditions
• Maintain accurate records of all electrical permits and associated documentation
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings for electrical teams
• Investigate and report on electrical near-misses and incidents
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulations and international electrical safety standards
• Collaborate with maintenance teams for electrical system shutdowns and restarts

Required Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:

Education & Certifications:

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Certification in Permit to Work systems (PTW)
• HSE certifications relevant to oil and gas (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH)
• ATEX or hazardous area certification preferred

Professional Experience:

• 5-10 years in electrical PTW roles within oil & gas or petrochemical industries
• Proven experience with high-voltage electrical systems
• Familiarity with oil field construction electrical requirements
• Knowledge of international electrical codes (IEC, NEC) and safety standards

Technical Skills:

• Strong understanding of electrical isolation procedures
• Experience with electrical hazard identification and risk assessment
• Knowledge of explosive atmosphere regulations (ATEX/DSEAR)
• Familiarity with electrical testing and verification procedures
