Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled PTW – Mechanical professional with 5-10 years of experience in the Oil & Gas Construction industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe execution of mechanical work under the Permit to Work (PTW) system, adhering to industry safety standards and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and authorize Permit to Work (PTW) documents for mechanical operations.
• Ensure compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) regulations and company policies.
• Coordinate with site teams to verify work conditions and safety measures before issuing permits.
• Conduct risk assessments and hazard identification for mechanical activities.
• Liaise with contractors, engineers, and project managers to align work procedures.
• Monitor mechanical work progress and ensure adherence to permit conditions.
• Maintain accurate records of permits, inspections, and safety audits.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and provide technical support as needed.
• Assist in the training of junior staff on PTW processes and safety protocols.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Mandatory Requirements:

• Graduation or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 5-10 years of hands-on experience in Oil & Gas Construction or similar industries.
• Proficiency in the Permit to Work (PTW) system and safety management.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, tools, and equipment used in construction projects.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

• Certification in HSE or PTW systems (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH).
• Experience working in the Middle East, particularly the UAE.
• Knowledge of industry standards like API, ASME, and OSHA.
