Job Overview

As a Pump Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing various types of pumps used in industrial and commercial facilities. Your role will ensure the smooth operation of water, hydraulic, and fuel systems while adhering to safety standards. This position requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect and Diagnose: Conduct routine inspections of pumps, motors, and related equipment to identify mechanical or electrical faults.
• Repair and Maintenance: Perform repairs, replacements, and preventive maintenance on centrifugal, submersible, and diaphragm pumps.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose operational issues, such as leaks, overheating, or abnormal vibrations, and implement corrective measures.
• Installation: Assist in the installation and setup of new pump systems, ensuring alignment with manufacturer specifications.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, parts inventory, and repair histories.
• Safety Compliance: Follow OSHA and company safety protocols to minimize workplace hazards.
• Collaboration: Work with other technicians, engineers, and facility managers to optimize pump performance.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in repairing and maintaining industrial/commercial pumps.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems, motor controls, and mechanical seals.
• Experience with diagnostic tools (e.g., multimeters, pressure gauges).
• Familiarity with welding, soldering, and pipefitting is a plus.

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving abilities.

Education & Experience

• Graduation/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a Pump Mechanic.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Al Batha, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The position may require occasional overtime, weekend shifts, or emergency call-outs. Candidates must be comfortable working in industrial settings, including exposure to noise, heat, and confined spaces.
