Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Pumps Technician to join our dynamic team in Muscat, Oman. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of hands-on experience in pump maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair within the construction or mechanical engineering sector. This role is critical to ensuring the efficient operation of pumping systems and supporting project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, inspection, and servicing of pumps (centrifugal, submersible, diaphragm, etc.).
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in pumping systems.
- Install and commission new pumps as per project requirements.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Monitor pump performance and recommend upgrades or replacements.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to optimize pump operations.
- Provide technical support and training to junior technicians.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Essential Skills:
- Proven experience in pump maintenance and repair.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Knowledge of safety protocols in construction environments.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Education & Experience:
- Diploma or Graduation in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a Pumps Technician.
- Certification in pump maintenance or relevant training is a plus.
Work Environment
This is a full-time, on-site position in Al ‘Amarat, Muscat. The role may involve working in outdoor construction sites, requiring physical stamina and adherence to safety guidelines. Candidates must be comfortable working in varying weather conditions and handling heavy equipment.
