Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Engineer or Manager to oversee quality assurance and quality control processes across our construction projects. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of hands-on experience in construction quality management, with expertise in implementing QC protocols, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

This is an on-site position requiring travel to project sites across India, with primary responsibilities centered in Bangalore, Karnataka.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement QA/QC plans for construction projects in compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
• Conduct regular inspections of materials, workmanship, and construction processes to ensure quality standards are met.
• Prepare detailed quality control reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective action plans.
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and engineers to resolve quality-related issues.
• Ensure compliance with Indian construction codes, safety regulations, and client specifications.
• Train and supervise junior QC staff to maintain consistent quality benchmarks.
• Review material test certificates, method statements, and inspection test plans (ITPs).
• Conduct internal audits and participate in third-party audits for quality assurance.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to project quality.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent diploma).
• Additional certifications in Quality Management (e.g., ISO 9001 Lead Auditor) preferred.

Experience

• 5-10 years of proven experience in QA/QC roles within the construction industry.
• Hands-on experience with quality inspection tools, testing equipment, and documentation.
• Prior experience managing QC teams on large-scale projects (residential, commercial, or infrastructure).

Skills

• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and standards (IS, ACI, ASTM).
• Proficiency in quality management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with PMC (Project Management Consultancy) firms.
• Familiarity with Lean Construction or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Multilingual capabilities (Hindi, Kannada, English) for effective site coordination.

Work Environment

This role involves a mix of office work in our Whitefield, Bangalore headquarters and on-site inspections at project locations across India. Candidates must be comfortable working in construction site conditions, including outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.

Travel Requirements

Up to 50% travel may be required to project sites in different states, with expenses covered by the company.
