QA/QC Engineer (Onshore Project)

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated QA/QC Engineer with 1-3 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry to join our Quality Control Department for an Onshore Project in Doha, Qatar. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with coating standards, project specifications, and international quality benchmarks. This is a full-time role offering a competitive salary range of 10-15 LPA.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct quality inspections on materials, equipment, and processes for onshore projects.
• Ensure compliance with coating standards (e.g., NACE, ISO, SSPC) during surface preparation and application.
• Review and approve Quality Control (QC) documentation, including inspection reports, test certificates, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to resolve quality-related issues.
• Perform audits to verify adherence to QA/QC procedures and project specifications.
• Monitor welding, fabrication, and installation activities to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Assist in the development and implementation of Quality Assurance Plans (QAP) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITP).
• Report quality metrics and trends to project management for continuous improvement.
• Participate in risk assessments and root cause analysis for quality discrepancies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in coating inspection techniques and standards (e.g., NACE Level I/II, ISO 12944).
• Experience with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods (e.g., UT, RT, MPI, DPT).
• Familiarity with welding processes and applicable codes (e.g., ASME, AWS).
• Knowledge of Oil & Gas industry standards (e.g., API, ASTM, ISO).
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and specifications.

Education & Certification

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or related field).
• Certification in NACE, CSWIP, or equivalent is preferred.

Work Environment

This role is based in Doha, Qatar, and involves working on an onshore project site. The position requires full-time availability and is not remote. Candidates must be willing to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with occasional overtime as needed.
