Job Type: Full Time | Location: Al Sadd, Doha, Qatar | Experience: 5-10 Years

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Engineer specializing in Welding, E&I (Electrical & Instrumentation), Painting, Piping, and Structural disciplines for a full-time role in Qatar’s thriving Oil & Gas industry. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with international quality standards, conduct inspections, and oversee quality control processes to maintain project integrity.

This is an on-site position based in Al Sadd, Doha, offering a competitive salary range of 15-20 LPA for qualified professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement QA/QC procedures for welding, E&I, painting, piping, and structural activities.
  • Conduct inspections and tests to ensure compliance with ASME, API, AWS, ISO, and other industry standards.
  • Review and approve material certifications, welding procedures (WPS/PQR), and inspection reports.
  • Coordinate with third-party inspectors and clients for joint inspections and audits.
  • Monitor fabrication, installation, and commissioning processes to ensure adherence to quality benchmarks.
  • Identify non-conformities and lead corrective actions to resolve quality issues.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of inspections, test results, and quality control logs.
  • Train and guide junior QA/QC personnel on best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Educational Background

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certifications in CSWIP, BGAS, NACE, ASNT Level II, or equivalent are highly preferred.

Experience & Technical Skills

  • 5-10 years of hands-on experience in QA/QC roles within the Oil & Gas sector.
  • Proficiency in welding inspection (NDT methods), E&I testing, coating inspections, and piping/structural QC.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ASME Section V/IX, API 1104, and other relevant codes.
  • Familiarity with quality management software and reporting tools.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills for liaising with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
