Key Responsibilities & Duties

As a vital member of our Quality Control department, your role will be multifaceted and critical to our project success. Your primary duties will include:

• Develop, implement, and manage the project Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) system in strict compliance with company policies and international standards.
• Conduct rigorous inspections of materials, equipment, and workmanship at various stages of the project lifecycle, from fabrication to installation and commissioning.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive quality documentation, including Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, Quality Control Procedures, and Audit Reports.
• Identify, document, and manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), initiating corrective and preventive actions to resolve quality issues promptly and effectively.
• Liaise directly with clients, third-party inspectors, and vendors to ensure all quality requirements are clearly communicated and met.
• Perform internal audits and participate in supplier audits to verify compliance with established QA/QC standards.
• Monitor and verify that all welding, painting, coating, and other critical processes meet specified project requirements and codes.
• Review and approve material certifications, calibration records, and other supplier-submitted quality documents.
• Provide technical guidance and training to project personnel on quality-related matters to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Ensure all activities adhere to the highest standards of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols.

Candidate Requirements & Qualifications

To excel in this role, you must possess a combination of formal education, relevant experience, and specific skills.

Education & Certification

• A Graduation/Diploma degree in Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a closely related field is mandatory.
• Professional certifications such as CSWIP, AWS CWI, NACE, BGAS, or ISO 9001 Lead Auditor are highly preferred and will be given significant weight.

Experience & Technical Knowledge

• A minimum of 5-10 years of proven experience as a QA QC Engineer within the Oil & Gas industry, specifically with offshore or onshore projects.
• In-depth knowledge of international codes and standards including ASME, ANSI, API, ASTM, and ISO.
• Hands-on experience with quality control of piping, pressure vessels, structural steel, and pipeline systems.
• Proven track record in managing quality control for welding, NDE (RT, UT, MPI, LPT), and coating activities.
• Familiarity with reviewing and approving project design documents, drawings, and technical specifications from a quality perspective.
