Job Overview
Seagull International LLP is seeking experienced QA-QC Engineers for our client in the Oil & Gas industry located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires professionals with 5-10 years of hands-on experience in quality assurance and quality control within the petroleum sector.
As a QA/QC Engineer near me in Al-Naseem, you'll implement and maintain quality management systems, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with international QA/QC standards for oilfield operations and projects.
Key Responsibilities
Our Quality Control Department is looking for candidates who can perform the following essential functions:
- Develop and implement QA/QC procedures for oil and gas projects in compliance with API, ASME, and ISO standards
- Conduct regular quality inspections of materials, welding, and fabrication processes
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of quality tests, non-conformance reports, and corrective actions
- Coordinate with third-party inspection agencies for material certification and testing
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure adherence to quality control specifications
- Lead internal audits and participate in client quality review meetings
- Investigate quality issues and implement preventive measures
- Train junior staff on QA/QC best practices in the petroleum industry
- Review engineering drawings and technical specifications for quality requirements
- Prepare monthly quality reports and present to senior management
Minimum Requirements
Experience & Qualifications
- 5-10 years of progressive experience in QA/QC engineering within the Oil & Gas sector
- Diploma or Graduation in Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or related field
- Certification in welding inspection (CSWIP, AWS) or NDT methods preferred
- Thorough knowledge of quality assurance standards including ISO 9001, API Q1, and ASME Section IX
Technical Skills
- Expertise in quality control procedures for pipelines, pressure vessels, and structural steel
- Proficiency in reading P&IDs, isometric drawings, and welding procedures
- Hands-on experience with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods
- Familiarity with Saudi Aramco standards and procedures is highly desirable
Soft Skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication skills for interfacing with clients and contractors
- Ability to work in multicultural teams and harsh environments
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation practices
