Job Description: QA/QC Inspector (Construction Industry)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented QA/QC Inspector to join our Quality Control Department in the construction industry in Muscat, Oman. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of hands-on experience in QA/QC standards and a strong understanding of quality assurance processes in construction projects.

As a QA/QC Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring that all construction activities comply with industry standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements. This is an on-site position requiring meticulous attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular quality inspections of construction materials, processes, and finished work to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Develop and implement QA/QC procedures and guidelines for construction projects.
• Monitor and document non-conformities and work with project teams to implement corrective actions.
• Review and approve material test reports, inspection requests, and other quality documentation.
• Coordinate with third-party inspectors, contractors, and suppliers to ensure quality standards are met.
• Perform inspections of welding, structural steel, concrete, and other construction activities.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate records of QA/QC activities.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on-site.
• Participate in internal and external audits to assess quality control effectiveness.
• Train and mentor junior staff on QA/QC best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in QA/QC standards and construction methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of materials testing, welding inspections, and structural integrity assessments.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and other relevant quality management systems.
• Experience with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

Educational & Professional Requirements

• Certifications in QA/QC or NDT (e.g., ASNT, AWS) are preferred.
