QA/QC Inspector (Piping) Job Opening – Oil & Gas Industry

Location: Sawābir, Kuwait City, Kuwait | Job Type: Full Time | Experience: 5-10 Years

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled QA/QC Inspector (Piping) to join our Oil & Gas / Petrochemical operations team in Kuwait. This role is critical in ensuring piping systems meet industry standards, project specifications, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of hands-on experience in piping inspection, strong technical knowledge, and proficiency in quality control processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform quality inspections on piping materials, welds, fittings, and installations in compliance with ASME, API, ASTM, and other applicable standards.
  • Conduct visual, dimensional, and non-destructive testing (NDT) inspections.
  • Review and approve material certifications, welding procedures (WPS/PQR), and inspection test plans (ITP).
  • Monitor contractor and subcontractor activities to ensure adherence to project QA/QC requirements.
  • Document inspection findings, generate reports, and maintain accurate records.
  • Identify non-conformities and recommend corrective actions to ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and clients to resolve quality issues.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Essential Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of piping inspection techniques, welding processes, and material specifications.
  • Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, P&IDs, and isometric drawings.
  • Experience with NDT methods (RT, UT, PT, MT) and testing equipment.
  • Familiarity with ASME B31.3, API 570, and other industry codes.
  • Ability to conduct pressure tests, hydrostatic tests, and leak tests.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Education & Experience:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, or related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in QA/QC inspection (Piping) within the Oil & Gas / Petrochemical industry.
  • Certifications such as API 570, AWS CWI, CSWIP, or NDT Level II are highly preferred.
