QA-QC Inspector (Oil & Gas Industry)

Job Overview

Seagull International LLP is seeking an experienced QA-QC Inspector for full-time quality control operations in the Oil & Gas sector based in Riyadh. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of hands-on experience implementing QA/QC standards for industrial projects, ensuring compliance with international quality specifications and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily quality inspections of materials, welding, and fabrication processes at project sites
• Document and report non-conformities using standardized QC checklists and inspection reports
• Verify compliance with ASME, API, and other relevant industry codes/standards
• Conduct NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) validation including radiography, ultrasonic, and dye penetrant inspections
• Coordinate with third-party inspection agencies for critical quality audits
• Monitor contractor performance against project QA/QC plans and specifications
• Maintain Material Certification Records (MCRs) and Testing Documentation
• Participate in HSE audits and implement corrective actions for quality-related incidents
• Train junior QC personnel on proper inspection methodologies
• Interface with client representatives during quality review meetings

Qualifications & Requirements

Essential Skills

• 5-10 years proven experience in QA/QC inspection for Oil & Gas projects
• Certification in CSWIP 3.1, ASNT Level II, or equivalent quality control credentials
• Thorough knowledge of ASTM, ASME Section IX, and API 510/570 standards
• Proficiency in interpreting P&IDs, isometric drawings, and welding procedure specifications
• Experience with QC software for documentation management

Education & Certifications

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, or related field
• Additional certifications in ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems preferred
• Valid Saudi Council of Engineers registration (preferred)

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in extreme desert climate conditions
• Comfortable working at heights and confined spaces when required
• Willingness to travel to remote project sites as needed
