QA/QC Inspector & Supervisor – Welding

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Inspector & Supervisor – Welding to join our Quality Control Department in Diriyah, Riyadh. This is a full-time position in the Oil & Gas industry, requiring 3-5 years of hands-on experience in welding inspection and supervision.

The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with industry standards, oversee welding processes, and maintain the highest quality benchmarks. The role offers a competitive salary range of 15-20 LPA.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough welding inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Supervise and guide welding teams to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Perform visual and non-destructive testing (NDT) inspections.
• Review and approve welding procedures, qualifications, and certifications.
• Identify defects, deviations, and non-conformities, and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve quality issues.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
• Monitor welding equipment and tools for proper calibration and functionality.
• Conduct audits and assessments to verify compliance with QA/QC policies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education:

Graduation or Diploma in Welding Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

• 3-5 years of experience in QA/QC inspection and supervision within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Proven expertise in welding inspection techniques and standards (AWS, ASME, API).
• Familiarity with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods (RT, UT, MT, PT).
• Experience working on industrial projects.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW).
• Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
• Certification in CSWIP, CWI, or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience with quality management systems (ISO 9001).

Soft Skills:

• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Work Environment

This is an on-site position in Diriyah, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role may require working in challenging field conditions, including exposure to extreme temperatures and industrial environments.

Candidates must be physically fit to perform inspections in confined spaces, at heights, and in various weather conditions.
