We are seeking a highly skilled QA/QC Instrumentation Engineer to join our team in the Oil & Gas sector. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with QA/QC standards, oversee instrumentation quality control, and support project execution in Saudi Arabia.
Job Responsibilities
As a QA/QC Instrumentation Engineer, your key responsibilities include:
- Review and approve instrumentation installation, calibration, and testing procedures.
- Ensure compliance with international QA/QC standards (e.g., ISO 9001, API, ASME).
- Conduct inspections on instruments, control systems, and automation equipment.
- Develop and implement quality control plans for instrumentation projects.
- Monitor contractor performance and verify adherence to project specifications.
- Maintain documentation for all QA/QC activities, including reports and non-conformance logs.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Perform audits to identify gaps in quality processes and recommend improvements.
- Support the commissioning and startup of instrumentation systems.
- Ensure all safety and environmental regulations are followed during inspections.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in QA/QC instrumentation within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Proven knowledge of QA/QC standards, calibration techniques, and control systems.
- Familiarity with instrumentation tools (e.g., PLCs, DCS, SCADA, transmitters, pressure gauges).
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in reading P&IDs, loop diagrams, and instrumentation schematics.
- Hands-on experience with testing equipment (multimeters, signal generators, HART communicators).
- Knowledge of hazardous area classifications (ATEX, IECEx).
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications in QA/QC or NDT (Non-Destructive Testing).
- Experience with SAP or other enterprise quality management systems.
- Familiarity with Saudi Aramco or international Oil & Gas standards.
Work Environment
This is an on-site position based in Diriyah, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role may require occasional travel to project sites or client locations.
