International Trade Links (ITL) is seeking an experienced QA-QC Supervisor - Static to join our quality control department in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This critical role focuses on maintaining the highest quality assurance and quality control standards for static equipment within the oil and gas sector. As a QA-QC Supervisor specializing in static equipment, you will be responsible for ensuring that all non-moving components and structures meet rigorous industry specifications and compliance requirements. This position is based in the Al Batha neighborhood of Riyadh and offers a competitive salary range of 10-15 LPA for qualified professionals.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
The QA-QC Supervisor - Static will play a pivotal role in our quality management system, with specific focus on stationary equipment and structures. Key responsibilities include:
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance and quality control procedures for static equipment including pressure vessels, storage tanks, pipelines, and structural components
- Conduct thorough inspections of materials, welding, fabrication, and installation of static equipment according to project specifications and international standards
- Oversee and document all quality control activities related to static equipment throughout project lifecycles
- Coordinate with engineering and production teams to establish quality benchmarks for stationary equipment
- Manage non-destructive testing (NDT) processes for static equipment, including radiography, ultrasonic testing, magnetic particle, and dye penetrant inspections
- Maintain comprehensive quality documentation, including inspection reports, material certifications, and compliance records
- Lead internal and external quality audits specific to static equipment processes and standards
- Identify, document, and track quality issues related to static equipment, implementing corrective and preventive actions
- Provide technical guidance and training to quality control inspectors on static equipment standards and procedures
- Review and approve quality control plans, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and method statements for static equipment
- Ensure compliance with API, ASME, ANSI, and other relevant codes and standards for stationary equipment
- Monitor supplier and subcontractor quality performance for static equipment components and services
- Prepare and present quality performance reports for static equipment to management and clients
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Certification
- Graduation/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or related field
- Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or equivalent certification preferred
- ASNT NDT Level II certification in multiple methods
- Additional certifications in API, ASME, or related codes for static equipment
Experience & Skills
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in QA/QC roles with specific focus on static equipment in the oil and gas industry
- Comprehensive knowledge of QA/QC standards, codes, and regulations including ASME Section VIII, API 650, API 653, and API 570
- Proven experience with quality management systems (ISO 9001) specific to static equipment
- Strong understanding of materials, welding processes, and fabrication techniques for stationary equipment
- Expertise in interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents for static equipment
- Experience with quality control software and documentation systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to address quality issues in static equipment systematically
- Strong leadership capabilities with experience supervising quality control teams
- Effective communication skills for interfacing with clients, contractors, and team members
Physical & Environmental Requirements
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions typical of oil and gas facilities
- Capability to perform visual inspections which may require bending, stooping, and climbing
- Willingness to work extended hours when required to meet project deadlines
- Compliance with all safety protocols and personal protective equipment requirements
