About the Role
We are seeking an experienced QC Engineer to join our Quality Control Department in the Oil & Gas/Petrochemical industry. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of hands-on experience in inspection and quality assurance within the sector. This role is based in Muscat, Oman, and requires a proactive professional committed to maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform inspection and testing of materials, equipment, and processes to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures for projects in the Oil & Gas/Petrochemical sector.
- Conduct audits and prepare detailed quality inspection reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related issues.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and international standards (e.g., API, ASME, ISO).
- Monitor and evaluate supplier quality performance.
- Provide technical guidance to junior QC personnel.
- Maintain accurate documentation for regulatory compliance.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Graduation/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 5-10 years in QC inspection, preferably in the Oil & Gas/Petrochemical industry.
- Strong knowledge of NDT methods (Ultrasonic, Radiography, Dye Penetrant, Magnetic Particle).
- Familiarity with welding inspection (CSWIP, AWS certification is a plus).
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications such as API 510, API 570, or ASNT Level II.
- Experience with pipeline, refinery, or offshore inspection.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
Work Environment
This role is based in Muscat, Oman, and requires on-site presence at project locations. The candidate must be prepared to work in challenging environments, including offshore or refinery sites, while adhering to strict safety protocols.
