QC Inspector – Oil & Gas / Petrochemical Industry

Job Overview

Talentrio is seeking experienced QC Inspectors to join our dynamic team in Oman’s thriving Oil & Gas / Petrochemical sector. This role is critical in ensuring product and process compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company quality benchmarks. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of hands-on experience in inspection within a similar industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct rigorous inspections of materials, equipment, and processes to ensure compliance with industry and company standards.
• Perform visual, dimensional, and non-destructive testing (NDT) inspections as required.
• Review and verify documentation such as inspection reports, material certifications, and test results.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements (e.g., API, ASME, ISO).
• Monitor and report non-conformances, deviations, and defects in materials or processes.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and prepare detailed reports for stakeholders.
• Support audits and provide expertise during client or regulatory inspections.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education:

• Diploma or Graduation in Engineering, Quality Control, or a related technical field.

Experience:

• 5-10 years of proven experience as a QC Inspector in the Oil & Gas / Petrochemical industry.
• Familiarity with inspection techniques such as UT, RT, PT, MT, and PMI.
• Knowledge of industry codes and standards (API, ASME, ANSI, ISO).
• Experience with welding, piping, pressure vessels, and structural inspections.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in using inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) and NDT equipment.
• Strong understanding of quality management systems (QMS).
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and schematics.

Soft Skills:

• Attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to quality improvement.

Preferred Certifications

• CSWIP, AWS, or ASNT Level II/III certification.
• API 510/570/653 certifications (highly desirable).
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification is a plus.
